My wife and I have taken 43 cruises to date and this was our first cruise with MSC cruise lines. Let me start by saying that my wife and I were going to fly to Seattle, WA during this time frame, but could not make it happen, so we decided to take a cruise. After looking at some of the other cruise's out there we decided to try the MSC Divina out of Miami. My wife and were somewhat apprehensive after reading some of the bad reviews that past guest's had written on some of the cruise lines web sites like cruise critic. However, we did end up going on the MSC Divina out of Miami because of the price.
The ship was beautiful, clean and very well maintained. Embarkation/disembarkation was fast and went smoothly. We did the self-assist and was off the ship by 07:15. WOW, best ever. We had a balcony cabin that was large, clean and in good shape. Our cabin steward did a outstanding job in seeing to our needs and did a good job at speaking english.
The only area we had a problem with was the dinning at the main dinning in the Black crab. The food and selection was not as good as I thought it should have been. Also, the round tables that they used could not accommodate the number of people sitting there. We kept hitting each other legs when we moved around,so after two nights out of the seven we stopped going. The food up in the lido deck (sorry, after being on so many cruises I call the self serve) was good, warm and alot of it. The only problem there was,so many people trying to eat at the same time. Pizza was the best we have had to date.
Very nice and clean
We took a water taxi over to the beach in frt of the cruise ship.
We walked over to the old san juan fort and walked around. Not enough time in port.
