We cruise 3-5 times every year: this was a perfect long weekend for us to get away from home and to allow my wife to be served meals rather than prepare them. We had no other activities scheduled, so Nassau was a great weekend sojourn.

We have cruised RCI at least 20 previous times, mostly on the larger ships: Freedom, Liberty, Independence, Allure and Anthem; however, we loved Jewel and Navigator. This was our first trip on Majesty and it was excellent!

Getting to the various venues aboard Majesty was quite easy. We found Sorrento, Windjammer, the Deli and Starlight Dining with no waiting for elevators or seating because we chose My Time dining when we reserved the cruise and we ate at somewhat odd hours when not in Starlight. The Olympic Games were on ship's tv and we watched them for hours, particularly basketball! That did stop us from partaking in the on-board entertainment that we always enjoy.

The closet and drawer space were more than adequate for our needs. My wife utilized the bathtub making herself quite comfortable in a bubble bath twice! I used the shower with great care as there was HOT water galore. Actually, I had the spigot turned nearly to lukewarm and it was still hot.

The bed was splendid and our stewardess made certain the sheets were turned down every evening AND that a CPAAP machine had an extension cord within minutes of the time we requested it.

The sofa and easy chair made our room service breakfasts a delight

Our balcony was a great place to sit quietly and sip wine and we did at Sail Away from Port Canaveral. My wife loves to hear the ocean waves while lying in bed so I opened the balcony door and then closed it after she was asleep.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We had a bit of difficulty finding the Terminal Parking, but once there we gave our luggage to a porter, parked the car and proceeded to check in. That was the quickest procedure as we have experienced in our 50 prior cruises. Less than 10 minutes and we were on the way to

the gangplank and aboard Majesty where we were greeted by a crew member with a glass of champagne.

Nassau

We have been to Nassau at least a dozen times and needed to locate a particular store for a particular product. It was a bare 15 minute walk, we completed our purchase using US cash

and were on our way back to Majesty. I wish we had located the FREE terminal to ship transport and had avoided the walk as the temperature was at least 90F in bright sunlight and the humidity was about the same!
