We most always use Carnival. We liked the itinerary. So, it was disappointing that Grand Turk was just 4 hours in port! We didn't notice that ahead of time. Aruba, on the other hand, was 1pm-10pm...we thought great..night life in aruba, shopping..after our shore excursion we found most all shops close at 5-6..so no shopping for us..we ate and went back to ship..we did dune buggies in Romana and love Curacuo...we might go back for a land vacation there.
I had read reviews that staff was unfriendly. I try to make up my own mind. Most never smiled. Our waitstaff was great and our steward was great. Otherwise, they seemed unhappy. This isn't the norm for Carnival..
The people on board were rude. This is our third out of miami and have never experienced that before. Maybe thats why staff was unhappy because passengers were so rude. They broke in lines, pushed you out of the way, made rude comments...I waited at the Wok for an hour for food because people were breaking in line. Parents put kids in rooms by themselves and they ran the halls screaming all night and hitting walls slamming doors. Have never had that happen. Someone needs to patrol halls late at night.
