Better late than never, we cruised on Carnival Triumph in June of 08. It was a wonderful trip. We had had planned it for a year since the last cruise in 07. We flew in to Miami on Saturday and stayed at the Miami Hilton west.We were up on Sunday had breakfast and had a taxi to the ship for $50. it was a nice van and roomy. We were at the Port in 20 mins. The line was actually pretty short. We were on the ship by noon.We went to the lido deck and hung out until about 2 when our cabin was ready. We had a 6e family stateroom on the spa deck, we loved it.The ports were Half moon Cay, St Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk.....half Moon Cay: this was awesome, the weather was perfect, the water crystal clear. As a family we decided to take up snorkeling, this was our 1st time and oh what a blast. The water was warm and just perfect. Lunch was the complimentary BBQ and it was delicious.Sea day: this was the 1 somewhat difficult day for me. the ship tossed a little and i got my diabetes off kilter, i got a lil seasick but it passed by dinner time.St Thomas: We went to downtown for shopping then to MEGANS BAY for snorkeling. This was awesome. I hadn't been to Megans bay on previous trip but i am glad we did this time. San Juan: i love SJ, we got there at noon and spent the day, we walked Old san juan and did some shopping, it was pretty hot so we got back to the ship and had some drinks to cool down. Grand Turk: We just hit the beach by the pier, it was nice but so much sea weed made it kinda cruddy. We just went out a lil deeper and had some great snorkeling. We hit the shops bought some goodies at Margaritaville and went back to the ship to relax.Dining: this was excellent, probably the best i have ever had, i really enjoyed it. We were 2 parties on this cruise, the wife, son and daughter as well as my in-laws. We did wonderful shopping as well as some great beachtime. We all had an incredible trip. I gladly suggest this ship for any that wish to have a good time....Thanks carnival.
