We just got off the Carnival Miracle for a 7-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera: Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. We had a very enjoyable time. Service was good and the ship seemed to be in good shape to me. High points were the Chef's Table (a MUST if you are a foodie) and the Alchemy bar (best drinks on the ship by far). Low points were embarkation and disembarkation (long, tedious, embarkation disorganized) and breakfast service in the main dining room. The ports of call are a little bit less than exciting, but for us we were able to drive to Long Beach so that's why we picked this cruise. I would not hesitate to recommend Carnival or the Carnival Miracle.

The Chef's Table experience was an 11 out of 10 for me. Do sign up for this if you enjoy learning about and trying new gastronomical experiences. The food, the service, and the whole experience were out of this world. It was $75 per person extra and worth every penny.

Cabin 4226 is kind of notorious because it is technically possible to see into your cabin from a small exterior stairway between the 3rd and 4th floors. It didn't bother us too much as this stairway was hardly used. The main problem was while in port at Puerto Vallarta there was a maintenance crew scraping off rust, priming, and painting right outside our window. That was a pain. Other than that, the room was huge and the bathroom spacious as well, with a jacuzzi tub and seating area. Two closets. The balcony was the same size as a regular balcony and totally private.
