After a pretty disorganized embarkation process (the employees of the port were a little clueless) they didn't put drink package stickers on our SeaPasses and then said we did not need them, but we did.....so our first stop once on board was Guest Services....and that is a place I like to avoid at all times!
The ship looked great! The refurbishment was well done and she seemed clean and in great shape! Some of the changes (like getting rid of the champagne bar by changing the color of the lights to red) were not necessary but it still was nice to see the new additions! Although getting rid of the nightclub was kind of a bummer! Since we were in Alaska, any of the "dance parties" that were in Dizzy's at night were kind of a let down since it stayed light so late :)
Our cabin was great - will review more below.
If you are going to do Alaska and don't want to constantly be hanging around people who are sightseeing from the railings, GET A BALCONY ROOM!! If you have a little extra to spend, get an Owner's Suite (bigger room) or a Grand Suite (bigger balcony). Our Owner's Suite was PERFECT! with the large balcony and HUGE picture window, we could lay in bed as we cruised past mountains and waterfalls and then go out to our balcony with coffee or wine all while in our pajamas and just relax. The concierge service with the Suite Class is great (although the suite lounge is VERY small) Great room with a great room attendant! Again, A+ for sure!
