I have been on about 3 dozen cruises. This is my first trip to Alaska, I have been to the departure port, Seattle, before. Of course I researched Seattle and all of the ports of call before arriving.

Because we live in far Northern California, we drove. We were a party of 11 family members.

We spent two days exploring Seattle before the cruise and had a wonderful time being a tourist. Carnival has a program that they call FFF, Faster to the Fun. I really agonized over that because I know that not all cruise lines have a good and quick embarkation and disembarkation procedure.

Port Reviews

Skagway

Such a great little town. There isn't much time here. We spent our entire time exploring the town. I'm glad that we didn't book an excursion, there just wasn't enough time.

Seattle

Seattle is an amazing place. If you have time you really need to spend it here. Between the space needle, pikes place. The foodie options the water front. The things to do here are endless.

Juneau

This is a great little town, if not a bit confusing. We spent our time exploring. The thing that we missed is the capital. Hmmmm
