Just recently spent 10 days aboard the Pacific Jewel visiting Noumea, Lifou, Vila, Mystery Island and the Isle of Pines and have to say it was a most enjoyable time.

The embarkation process at Sydney went relatively smooth and we into our cabin pretty quickly. We found the ship was in pretty good condition, but starting to look it's age now.

We mainly dined at the Pantry as there was a good choice to be found. It was busy but the food quality was fine, sort of what you might expect to find in a food court. We dined at the Waterfront twice. The first time was excellent, but the second time was rather disappointing with the food quality. However a must do on P & O is to dine at Salt Grill. For $50.00 per person the food was excellent and the service was fantastic.

Cabin Review

Cabin OD

Cabin 11196 was an oceanview cabin with a connecting door. The cabin was a good size with plenty of storage. The zircon was working perfectly and the shower was awesome...much better than our hotel room in Sydney! I would want a room next time without a connecting door as we could hear noise from the next room, as I am sure they could hear any noise from ours.
