The cruise ships was fine but two things let it down, poor food and pushy sales tactics. The food in the buffet restaurants looked good and had a good variety of choice but was pretty tasteless. The breakfast toast and bagels were kept under hot lights so that they were hard and dry by the time you got them. We were told they catered for vegans but this was not the case and we often ended up having bread and salad. There were no vegan dishes as such. It almost seemed as if the food was deliberately bland so that you would pay to go to the restaurants that required a cover change, sabatinis was a good Italian but we had to pay $29 USD per person.

Every day there was a promotion by the sales manager for Jewlllery and Juneau town was just row after row of Jewlllery shops. Clearly this man was on commission as all he talked about was Jewlllery and bargains. Efforts jewellery was pushed all the time. Similarly the spa team were always offering talks on how to look more youthful I order to push spa treatments, at the end of which you got the hard wall for expensive products.

One good thing about the cruise we're the naturalist speakers, and when travelling through area of interest we were provided with great wildlife talks and shouts, out when whales or Dolphins were spotted.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Clean and compact. We had a mini suite for three of us. Which was cramped because we had to wait from cabin steward to put it away, we ended up doing it ourselves. Plenty of room if just two of you, nice to have a bar area and sofa to sit in, plus of course the balcony ( which only had two chairs and two foot rests). Fruit basket was refilled as required.

Port Reviews

Victoria

Pretty and interesting town. Only $10 cab into town. We walked around and had a very nice dinner.

Seattle

NWe did our own exploring of Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and EMP attraction. Very nice town, and pleasant to wall around. Monorail was fun. We also took the underground but completely different feeling getting out at pioneer square. A few shady characters hanging around.
