I chose this cruise as an introductory cruise for my daughter. She and my husband had never cruised before.

Embarkation went smoothly. I've cruised out of Port Everglades and it was a bit of a pain. We sailed through here pretty quickly. Rooms weren't ready when we got there so I decided to show my husband the buffet. The Windjammer was extremely crowded. They had to tell people to vacate the table so that other people have you down.We got a little something to eat and sat outside. After that we explored the ship. Everything is clean and neat. It took a long time to get our luggage but the ship was full.

My daughter and I ordered the Royal replenish package. Our only minor, and I do mean minor concern was that the cups weren't in our room and we had to ask for them. Not a big deal at all. Our shore Excursion tickets were waiting for us, and I went up to the desk to buy another tour and that was quickly handled. I did notice that the customer service desk was always busy.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

We were in room 7558. Nice balcony room with a lot of useful storage. I'm surprised by how well the room storage was planned out. This is an older ship and the showers still have curtains instead of the sliding door. Didn't bother me. The hand-held shower worked well. Water pressure was fine. I like a firm bed so the bed was great for me. The balcony was small but had two chairs and a table and was fine for us.

Port Reviews

Miami

Had a blast in Miami. Rented a car and visited Little Havana and Miami Beach.

Nassau

Loved Nassau. We explored on foot and then took a local bus out to the Melia Cable Beach.
