Left out of Miami, Arrived the day before Stayed at Comfort Suites near the Airport. The terminal was a little confusing. We drove there and parked across from Royal Caribbean.Porters were confusing as to where to go in. Apparently in Miami folks don't get up and get off the ship. So we had to wait to board. They even get off the ship as late at 10:30. I was surprised...We were permitted to check in and then wait to board.

We boarded and were at WindJammer by 12:00. Rooms were ready by 1:30 on the dot. Staterooms seem smaller than I remember. Shampoo/conditioner not given anymore. just a shampoo dispenser in the shower. Just remember to bring your own conditioner. There is no longer a ice bucket in your room. or welcome bottle of wine... Had to ask for ice and glasses everyday. Ordered to drink package bought it before we arrived so price was discounted. Bartenders don't seem really interested in serving you. Slow service..

We were traveling with a Girl Scout troop of 10 , mom's and high school age ladies. We ended up at my time dining. It actually was not too bad. had no problem with the table and getting the time we wanted. We adj the time a couple of times. Formal night is the 2nd night of cruise. Even though we stay in Nassau until 11pm. The pool party show/ Sailaway party/ 70's nite is all very fun. Battle of Sexes was a riot. Capt Welcome was nice with free champagne. Love the Parade of Flags from the staff. Love the international feel and love the individual dances. I don't understand why with Crown and Anchor discounts they do not discount a under 18 yr old for pictures instead of Spa treatment or coffee. Seems odd. She wanted to purchase pictures of our Girl Scout troop disc. but they would do it..I was told they can not change what Crown and Anchor give out....

Port Reviews

Miami

stayed at Comfort Suites by the airport. They have free shuttle to terminal. confusion when we entered. parked across from terminal .but porters did not point us in the correct direction.

Nassau

Had our own walking tour to Queen Staircase and Ft. They are working on Pier restrooms and upgrades. A lot of vendors /taxi yelling at you can get confusing and overwhelming. Tried to book snorkel trip for the afternoon . tried to ask Nassau tourism for advise or point us in the right direction he keep giving us the same Capt ( I use that word only from his hat) The man was annoyed before we spoke to him. We had a party of 10. Wanted to know the type of boat and where we would snorkel. He was just plain old pissed off at the questions. Just wanted a deposit. Later in the day I tried again to find a snorkel excursion again the Tourism Rep pointed me in his direction. Seems strange. WELL come to find out all other boats cancelled morning and afternoon trips due to weather/sea conditions . And this Capt was going to take us out in his boat. Very scary.. glad we did not go we took the local ferry over to Paradise Island for $ 4.00 . Some of our group walked to Atlantis and we went to Margaritaville. They had a pool and refillable blender cup.

Key West

Walked to Mallory Square. Stopped at a couple of shops. Was supposed to rent bikes Could not locate bike vendor. Ended up using a Sunset Watersports at the marina across town. Booked ourselves. Great trip. Price was very reasonable 45.00 includes one site and soda/water/ rum punch. Got back around 4:00 plenty of time to walk back and stop at Margaritaville.
