This review is regarding Royal Caribbean, Enchangment of the Seas and the ports. It is NOT about my vacation in general.
I booked the cruise and air transportaion through Royal Caribbean's web site and the shore excurssions through Trip Advisor.
In the past I have taken 5 cruises, 2 with Disney and 3 with Carnival. We decided to give Royal Caribbean a try for this vacation since we had heard it was very similar to Carnival. It is NOT. Carnival has a lot more activities on board and the pool is a fun place.
Our cabin was very worn out!! The window was so cloudy that we really couldn't look out of it. There seemed to be moisture trapped in the middle window pane making the view very blury. The inside of the window was also dirty.
The window sheer had a large brown mark, that appeared to be dried blood.
A large section of paint was missing around the window.
The bed is nothing but a 2 cots. Yes, cots! Some of the reviews I have read stated the beds were hard and uncomforable. Guess the fact that they are cots explain a lot.
The next set of linens were stored under the bed. I only know this because the lines were sticking out from under the "bed' skirt. There was a used bandaid under the bed.
The toilet would only flush after pressing it 4 to 5 times. Our speaker did not work, so to hear announcements we had to open the cabin door.
Our cabin phone was covered in a filmy, sticky dust. Gross!
The lines had a few holes and stains on them.
EVERY SINGLE towel had a rip of some kind! There were 2 towels and 1 floor mat that appeared to have some kind of brown stain.
The cleaning cart and vaccume was parked out side of our cabin door for the entire trip.
We spent the day at Bakini Tiki Beach. It was a lot of fun. Wear some time of water socks or shoes. They leave the bear bottle caps in the sand.
