This trip as recommended by our Travel Agent as he thought it was the best value for money river cruise. We embarked around 5.00pm on Saturday 23rd July after a long bus ride from Paris. We were warmly welcomed on board and shown to our Stateroom. We had previously chosen our Stateroom from the deck plan. Were were on the middle level 202. We were slightly disappointed as our room did not have a virtual balcony. After many months (almost a year in the planning) our room did not live up to the 360 deg virtual tour. This room was clearly set up for a person with limited mobility issues. Grab bars in the shower, next to the toilet and a much lower basin (which proved difficult for my husband to shave). We are average height. Much less storage room as well compared to the other rooms our friends had. When booking this room my travel agent should have been made aware that this room was slightly different. Nothing was mentioned to him when he rang to reserve this room.

The food and presentation was really very good with no particular complaints. The choice for breakfast and lunch was outstanding (and the cheese selection in particular was wonderful), Dinner choices were adequate though my husband thought it was a little bland. This was a 14 night trip so even though there was a different menu every night, some of the dishes were very similar. Nothing outstanding in the Dessert department. All perfectly fine but not awe inspiring. The meal sizes were perfect as there was many courses. Presentation very good.

The staff on this river cruise (excluding two personnel whom I won't name bordered on rude and would not make eye contact) were fantastic and helpful. Special mention to Slobodan (Bobby the barman) and Marko who were exceptional in their attentiveness and friendliness. The captain of the ship was brilliant and the hotel manager was great as well.
