Our family of 7 had a terrific cruise and really enjoyed the ship. Sailing in August with tropical weather is always a bit of a gamble and though we had some showers - it was a great trip. The ship was laid out well but not big enough to get lost.
We arrived at the port about 10:15 and were onboard in less than an hour - all 7 of us in 3 different cabins with 5 different accounts set up. Easiest!!
Our junior suite cabin (1544) was close to the stairs but very far forward. Same level as the bridge and you could easily see folks on the bridge at times. Our cabin steward J was attentive, responsive and stealth. Very pleasant and obviously there but didn't interact a lot. We enjoyed him and felt he was terrific!!
We feel a JS is just perfect for us. Love the additional bathroom space and bathtub is a treat!! The walk in closet is terrific - great to just place all your clothes - lots of hanging space, shelving for folded items and 26 pairs of shoes. Just kidding.... We had room for the suitcases at the bottom.
The expanded floor space and balcony is great for hosting our kids/friends at sail away. Enough room to walk around comfortably with 7 adults! The kids were in 2 oceanview cabins on deck 2. Three girls in one cabin and 2 boys in another. They said plenty of room for them - I didn't visit!
Hard to beat a junior suite! Cabin attendant was perfect too!
We live in Houston so visit Galveston from time to time. Quaint beach town!
