Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

After 15 + cruises on other cruise lines, we thought we would try Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and the Oasis of the Seas. We were very disappointed with our Balcony Stateroom #14224; it was the smallest room we have ever had; adequate, but very small for a 'Superior Balcony Stateroom', "D5 CATEGORY (Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony)" and on one of the biggest ships in the industry??

After my wife convinces me to bring/wear my tux for Formal Night Dining 'one more time' I lament and wear my tux and she is of course in her formal wear...WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE FORMALLY DRESSED, and people were dining with shorts, swimsuits, sandals and t-shirts - which is fine - but DON'T CALL IT FORMAL DINING. Our service and food in the dining room was barely edible - not adequate, compared from past cruises.

My favorite part about cruising are the days at sea; forget about what you hear about the Oasis, "you hardly realize there are that many people on board - it's such a large ship" NON SENSE...BARELY ROOM TO MOVE IN AND AROUND THE POOL AREAS - IT WAS SO CROWDED!

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D5

Smallest cabin we have ever had - our steward (Daron) was the best thing about the stateroom
