The Jade is an old ship. There are far too many people crammed on it resulting it tremendous difficulty in finding tables at the buffet and sunbeds. The staff remove towels from sunbeds after 30 minutes if unused which may help to free them up but also makes it impossible to eat lunch together and keep a sunbed! The wait for the main restaurants in the evening can be 45 minutes but it is well organised and a drink before dinner or a bit of planning is all it takes.
The area around the pools is in a poor state of repair. More the standard of a public swimming pool than a cruise ship. All just a bit shabby and grotty. The 2 small pools are again inadequate for the amount of people. Very loud music and announcements around the pool area but there are quiet areas if you look for them.
Disembarkation is fairly slow and chaotic in particular where tenders are used. 2 hours to disembark, and officers remarking that it is "not their problem" that a whole day is spent in queues..
Clean and quiet other than continual noise from the lavatories.
