I chose this cruise for the Alaska scenery, which was breathtaking, and the weather was not too hot. The dining was very good and enjoyed the buffet for breakfast and lunch. It was often too busy to find a seat and some help would have been appreciated. The evening meal had very good service and we always knew we had a table reserved. Our waitress Tari was very cheerful and certainly added to the experience. We looked forward to hearing from the Entertainment Director Mark who introduced a superb array of shows, including dancers, singers, comedians and an outstanding acrobat duo. Mark is a very cheery and pleasant person. All the ports we stopped at were interesting. We enjoyed the boat tour and crab feast. While gathering for that, it was mentioned several times to take a bottle of water to take along. I passed since it was an extra charge which I thought was very chintzy, especially after paying $340 for the excursion. This kind of extra charging was very prevalent throughout the entire cruise and was our biggest gripe. It took the edge off our experience and any thoughts of going again. It's too big a ship to hunt for free water so beware.
For 3 adults the cabin was tight for space. Very pleased we chose the balcony for the views, and more space. The cabin staff kept it clean and tidy, supplying towels and washcloths more than once a day. They were more than accomodating to several small requests. We found the chief, Gabrielle, very helpful to deal with.
Bus driver was very informative.
