Our first time on the Breakaway very nice and very large ship take time to explore the first day. We embarked in NYC no issues. The new rule is no water carried on but you can bring a empty bottle and refill on ship for when you get off in port. Highly recommend meal and beverage package be purchased in advanced, once on board more $$$$!! We were able to pick 4 specialty rest. (only specific ones) and made reservations in advance. The bev. pack was $15. max per drink per person only one drink can be ordered at a time if over $15. you pay the difference. Remember when in NYC port ,taxes still apply. Shows were also booked in advance Cirque with dinner(considered one of the specialty rest.) was entertaining as was Rock of Ages stage show . Our cabin was decent, enough storage room for family of 3. The food was good but not exceptional even in the specialty rest. common areas were very nice but be patient the service can be slow. As usual pool area very crowded, but on deck 16 aft (rear) Spice H2O bar has a great area for sitting in the sun also has a wrap around waterfall for cooling off and mostly adults. Bermuda is beautiful, we purchased bus and ferry passes well worth the cost. The ferries are a quicker in transportation if you are not tired of the water. Prices on the island are expensive( $15. for a burger) we found a supermarket purchased sandwiches, chips and drinks for $20.-$25. much more budget friendly. Beaches are terrific but beware of sharp coral suggest water shoes. The Clocktower shopping center at the Royal Dockyard is worth exploring some of the same items as on Front street in Hamilton. St. George nice to walk around a lot of history. When disembarking get a porter well worth the $10/$20. tipping you will get through customs faster and not have to stand in a long line!!!!! We will definitely be back for another visit.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

Our cabin was mini ste., forward, deck 8 and had an extended balcony which was great we were on the starboard side (right) and faced the dockyard in Bermuda. Plenty of storage room under bed and pullout. The closet was spacious with shelves and safe. Bathroom very nice double sink, nice sized shower with large shower head and mini spouts. Great water pressure( runs on the hot side be careful with little ones). Nice storage under the sink. Make sure you asked to have ice bucket filled daily. Bedding and towels decent quality.
