Sail Date: Aug 2016

First of all ... I am a repeat cruiser with RCI. I prefer this line to Carnival. I sailed on the Grandeur of the Seas in July 2016, plus three other RCI ships. I have expectations of RCI based on my past cruises.

This trip ... We waited until 5pm to board at the port of Miami, but didn't have the muster drill until 7:45pm or leave port until close to 8pm -- losing 1/2 day of our trip. And only receiving $20 OBC for "lunch voucher" . While snacks were served at the port, I was unable to eat the granola bars, cookies or sandwiches due to dietary restrictions. Reason for delay? "Scheduled A/C maintenance".

We got to our cabin only to find a strong smell of vomit or other human waste in the hallway. It was reported to the cabin steward and while it faded some, the smell lingered the entire trip. Fortunately, it wasn't in our cabin and something we had to deal with all the time. Water from the bathroom sink wasn't drinkable, even a sip after brushing our teeth -- it tasted stale, musty, like it had been sitting in old pipes or something.
