We chose the Alaska cruise because we live in Florida and wanted to experience something completely different and far away. We chose Norwegian because we heard a lot of good things about them, and at the time we were looking to book, they were offering an excellent promotion. Everything about this cruise ran so smoothly, from embarking, to everyday entertainment to meals, hanging out on the balcony in our cabin or on board or at the bars until we reached our destinations. We chose to only eat at the restaurants that were included in the cruise package and we were not disappointed. There was such a wide variety of food and it was all delicious. The shore excursions were great and we found by attending the seminars on board (in the Stardust Theatre) it helped us make the right decisions about which one to book which fit our needs. We did learn one thing from the captain directly, that if you book the shore excursions through the Norwegian Pearl, and for any reason they are late returning to the dock, the captain will wait for you. If you book through an independent excursion company and they are late getting back, the boat will wait only about 15 minutes and then will have leave for the next port. YOU are then responsible for all costs associated with getting yourself to the next port or getting yourself and your luggage back home.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

Our cabin actually had what was called an enclosed balcony. So in case it rained, you could still sit outside and you wouldn't get wet. The room was more than spacious and the bathroom was more than adequate as well. The bed was very comfortable and our housekeeper was always there for any of our needs.
