I'm platinum level on NCL so I try to do most of my cruising with them. This was another excellent cruise on the NCL Breakaway to Bermuda. Embarkation was a little crazy because the ship was late arriving, so embarkation was delayed until 12:30 PM, so the terminal was quite crowded, but I had boarding group 2 and was on very quickly once they started. My stateroom (studio cabin) was ready when I boarded. Traveling as a solo, the solo group on NCL is a great feature. We met the first night at Maltings (in case some solos were not in the studios), then each following evening we met in the Studio Lounge. Vo, from the cruise director staff was the coordinator and was fantastic. He organizes group dinners and makes show reservations for the group. The studio cabin is small, but fine for a solo traveler. The studio lounge has a great coffee machine and fresh pastries, fruit, juice and ice water every day. There is also a bar in the lounge open from 5 to 6 PM each day. I had the specialty dining package for 3 nights and a dinner for two voucher to either Le Bistro or La Cucina. I ate in Cagney's, Le Bistro, La Cucina, O'Sheehans, Manhattan, Savor and Taste. I did not have one bad meal. Service can be slow at times, but I did not miss any shows. I also had the Ultimate Beverage Package and made good use of it. During the day I spent a lot of time at the Wave's Pool Bar (port side) where Leo and Jose hold down the fort. In the evenings I hang out at Maltings for some drafts and shots, and end up at Shakers, where my favorite bartender Jimmy has my Going Coconuts martini waiting for me. In Bermuda I went snorkeling twice, the Rising Sun Catamaran and the Coral Reef Snorkel. Both were great. Water was clear and calm. Plenty of fish and coral. Catamaran crews were great as was the rum punch served on the way back. I also went over to St. George and walked over to Tobacco Bay. Great beach, but get there early as it does get crowded later on. The shows were great (even thought I've seen them many times before. I did the easy walk off when we got back and I was off the ship in no time. Overall it was an awesome trip.

Cabin Review

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

Small but plenty of room for solo traveler. Two sliding door closets and plenty of shelf space. Baskets under the bed can also be used for storage. Shower is in the room but that's okay with me. Cabin was clean and every thing worked fine. Enough outlets for all my devices.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Terminal was crowded due to late boarding, but didn't bother me
