As a family for my parents 25th Anniversary earlier this year, we decided to choose a cruise as our holiday. We have never cruised before but my parents always wanted to try it. We were recommended a Thomson Cruise as it is seen as more of a relaxed cruise and less formal and intense as others (in regards to the size of the ship). The words we were told by the travel agent were "its an easy way to start cruising as its basically a Thomson hotel, but floating". We were satisfied with this as we had been to many Thomson hotels before and enjoyed them.

We cruised on the "Grecian Legends" itinerary, we flew from Bristol to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik was spectacular a gorgeous place and has urged me to book a holiday there. We had the day we arrived on the ship and they day after in Dubrovnik, so plenty of time to see it.

We then moved on to the port of Corinth, we were highly disappointed the whole place seemed derelict, we didn't book excursions as they are really expensive through Thomson, but then we found out that as were docking in "Corinth for Athens" that Athens was an hours drive away - this was not advertised properly!
