The itinerary was perfect. We did not partake of the ship's excursions, which offered less to see and were priced way above the local tour company offerings The cabin was fine. The staff affable and most accommodating. The food quality was very average, although there was plenty of it available. The dining rooms were functional, if not particularly attractive. The specialty restaurants had a much better decor and provided a much better dining experience, The entertainment was overall average with the shows being generally quite good and the individual acts being below average. The ship activities were average at best. It was difficult to find much of interest to do during the sea days and there were simply no quiet places anywhere on the ship to just sit and read, when the weather precluded one from sitting on one of the outside decks. The ship's propulsion system broke down, causing us to miss Dublin. Proper maintenance might have avoided that significant inconvenience. Nevertheless, the excellent itinerary, fine crew and collegial atmosphere among the folks made it a very good trip.
