Our cruise director, Heinrich, and the rest of the staff made our trip simply incredible. They were informed, accessible and exceedingly polite. The food and drink were impeccable. We appreciate the excellent wines offered for free at dinner. The local talent at some of our ports who came on board to entertain us were extraordinary. The excursion to the Maginot Line was amazing! We loved the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door, the very comfortable bed and the roomy shower with a handheld shower head. We are history buffs and this sail up the Rhine was full of historic sights. We especially enjoyed the Jewish Heritage touches although it is so sad to remember such a horrible time.

Our only disappointment was not Avalon's fault. The personnel at The Zurich Airport were beyond rude. First time in Switzerland and although the country is gorgeous, the people were not. Will avoid this airport in the future.
