We are experience ocean cruisers having taken 18 of them in different parts of the world. We've cruise on luxury, near luxury and premium cruise lines and we wanted to try something different. We were more than satisfied by our river cruise experience. Emerald staff were eager to please, help was everywhere, the tour guides were mostly very good (they use the same guides as Scenic).

The ship is only one year old, beds were comfortable, storage was adequate, amenities were better than most lines and we did enjoy the pool. Dinner & lunch food were between very good to average. Breakfasts were very good. Included beer was very good but wine was only fair. Optional drinks were expensive. Surprisingly the crew show was quite entertaining. Local entertainment was fine. The enrichment tour of a visit to a home in Bratislava was a great experience. We also enjoyed the private concert in Vienna. Overall, we would take another river cruise with Emerald.
