This was our first cruise, ever, and chose QM2 for several reasons: a transatlantic, felt it was worthy of a 45th wedding anniversary, formal nights, and reputation as an elegant ship. We were pleased and elated at every aspect. Service was first class, food was excellent and well presented, cabin was spacious with plenty of storage, comfortable bed, accommodating steward, interesting lectures/activities, etc. We have no complaints. There were a few who didn't follow the dress code but by and large passengers were courteous and friendly, and the staff was as well. We also sailed home from Great Britain on a second TA and found it was even better, probably because we were accustomed to the routine of the ship. Captain Wells was informative, witty, and gracious to passengers as well. QM2 is a small floating city, well run, and we have already booked another cruise with Cunard. The gym, library, spa, and salon were also first class and nice to have on board as well. Our waiters at every meal (we always ate in the dining room) were friendly, calling us by name, and gave excellent service. I hated to come back to reality!!
Plenty of drawer and closet space, comfortable bed, warm robes upon arrival. I brought a few extra hangars and used them/ The Safe was easy to operate/ Suitcases could be stored under the bed. Cleaned twice a day, small fridge was handy for ice, etc.
