I had read several reviews of this ship prior to booking some good some bad and decided to give it a go. My wife and I are relatively new to cruising but have had some excellent cruises on QM2, Queen Elizabeth, Disney Dream and Royal Princess (which I will review now that I am a member) so we thought we would give Celebrity a try whilst saving on a long flight to the states.

I think from the outset as we were embarking the ship we may have realised that we had made a huge mistake. From check-in to the ship we were stopped at least 4 times--"Do we want a drinks package?" Do we want a photo taken?" Do you have speciality dining?" Would you like a Spa visit?" sell sell sell--Alarm bells ringing!!! Once on the ship the same questions over and over again--there was even some poor girl wrapped up like a Mummy on some sort of contraption trying to sell a Spa product--desperate times!

I have read recent comments regarding the food offerings on board. Without jumping on the bandwagon we have to pretty much agree that the food is probably the poorest we have ever had at sea. The Cafe section which serves breakfast/lunch and dinner basically offered the same things every day. The quality was very poor as was the selection. Finding a table at breakfast was nearly impossible and it seemed that all social etiquette was forgotten for a 2 hour period each morning as guests were literally shoving each other out of the way to get to their beloved breakfast.
