This is my fifth cruise, first with NCL. I was looking forward to an amazing, classy cruise. I was very disappointed to say the least.
My mother who is almost 80 came along for the ride as well as my 7 year old and 15 year old and my spouse. Embarkation took a while. For whatever reasons, when we got to the front of the line to receive our key cards, I noticed the line to the right of us was being allowed to skip us although we had been waiting on the line for a while. I don't know if it was a priority line but we kept waiting and waiting until the person who was controlling the line got tired of telling the people on that line to go. They were too busy on their phones and not paying attention to what was going on. We finally got our key cards and went in. The rooms weren't ready so we went to grab some lunch at the Pacific Restaurant. The food was good. We had burgers, fish and chips, chicken fingers and french fries.
The drill was not at the drill stations but at different lounges. We were looking for E3 and were sent to A. By the time we got there, the drill was over.
Cabins were ok for the time we spent in them. They were kept clean and orderly. The fourth floor is highly trafficked at the Great Stirrup Cay stop so just be warned.
We did our own thing - excursion via NCL was too expensive
We live in NYC
