We chose this cruise because we are a family of four with 2 girls ages 7 and 14 and we thought this was a good value and good length for us and Port Canaveral was very close to family for us. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this sailing as much as I did!
Based on the reputation of Carnival as a party ship, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to find quiet spots and serenity if I wanted to, but if music and activity and crowds are your idea of fun, you can find that just as easily. My favorite spots were the lounge chairs along deck 3 and the Red Frog Pub. The bar staff at Red Frog and the musicians were great folks to hang out with.
My children appreciated the kids clubs and Carnival has the age divisions exactly where they need to be. It makes all the difference when trying to keep a 14 year old happy when her parents won't buy her the on board wifi!
Nice cabin above Ivanhoe theatre so you will hear theatre at night until 10 PM.
Loved the beach, hated the tender process, it was a mess! When it was time to leave every one was roasting in the sun waiting in a line. Carnival should have had some one directing the loading process.
We walked to Junkanoo beach and rented chairs from a local. Even with five ships in port this was an incredible beach, probably our favorite thing we did the entire trip.
Had an organized embarkation. My sister dropped us off so I cannot review hotels or parking or airport transfer.
Not sure if it counts as an excursion because we booked on the fly directly from the driver when we were in port. We went on a 2.5 hour island tour with five other people in a van. We enjoyed learning about the local culture and touring the perfume factory.
