My wife and I are first time Princess cruisers. We have cruised dozens of times in the past but always with other lines. We chose this cruise based solely on the itinerary. The cruise part......food, ports, dining service, shows and entertainment were all acceptable. Our only issue was the ship itself. It is long overdue for refurbishment. We were aware the ship is 12 years old but it really is stale dated and in dire need of a face lift beyond our expectation. We had plumbing problems on 4 different occasions and in one instance it took 2 days to get the problem attended to. Stay away from cabin A637.

Would we cruise with Princess again.....yes. However we would be very careful on selection on ships based on age and/or last refurbish date.

We used anytime dining and found this to work really well as many ports on the British Isles itinerary have late port arrivals hence late returns post excursions.
