Sail Date: Jul 2016

My wife's first cruise, due to her work commitments we could only cruise during very selected dates, thomson were able to supply our cruise during the time we had available, hence cruising with thomson.

We tried to study as many reviews as we could before sailing, sadly a lot weren't very favourable but we decided to go ahead anyway. Overall the cruise was to both our liking, nowhere near as bad as a lot of people have written in the press etc !

We did the hellenic classics cruise. Start at corfu, chania in crete, mykonos town, kusadasi (turkey), piraeus (greece), katakolon (greece), then back to corfu.

Cabin Review

Cabin OUTSIDE CABIN (ESSENTIAL)

NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, THE CLEANER WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR HIM. NO TOILET BLOCKAGES, NO SMELLS, NOTHING.

Port Reviews

Kusadasi

Not too bad, just wandered around, a few beers, very pushy and sometimes rude people insisting that you buy junk of them.you should be very wary of rip-off and false goods, the price you might pay eventually can be much less than a third of what they are asking, you have to be merciless completely, if they won't back off just walk away and keep going!!!

Katakolon (Olympia)

Me and my wife went ashore here, lovely little place. Small port, great for a peaceful wander around without rude people hassling you all the time, beach not too far from the shops etc, even prices not too bad, we really enjoyed our time here, great!! Would definitely visit again with or without thomsons!!!

Mykonos

Didn't rate much on mykonos, fairly pretty from seaward. Tender necessary from ship to shore, if disabled etc would be a problem!!

in our opinion just one white shop, a shop every 10 feet or whatever!! Quite quaint apart from nearly getting run over by mini trucks and motorcycles every few seconds. We reckoned very pricey for whatever was on sale.nearly splashed out on a seafood platter for two people until i saw the price, a platter for two, 55 euros and not even a massive plate at that what a joke (if funny) scandalous !!! Nearly as bad as thomsons baggage charges !!!
