We are a couple in our 50s, and we were also traveling with my parents, who are 80. This was our twelfth cruise, but our first on Celebrity. This was our second cruise to Alaska. The embarkation process took about an hour of waiting in line and sitting while waiting. We had very smooth sailing, with very little rocking motion on board.

ROOM: The stateroom (2101) was pleasant, well lit, and with adequate storage space. The room seemed cold even when we set the temperature warmer. The bed was comfortable, but we heard noise at night from the bowels of the ship. The shower was decent, but there was little counter space by the sink. We had good service from our stateroom attendant (Camilo).

FOOD: In the dining room we had early seating. The service was very slow, taking 90 minutes to two hours each night. The food was of mixed quality; some entrees were very good, and others were not so good. Soups, salads, and appetizers were generally good. We were not impressed with most of the desserts. Overall, this was probably the worst dining room experience we've had out of twelve cruises. The buffet had good breakfasts but only fair lunches. (We did like the pasta station.) It was often difficult to find seating at the buffet. We ate at the Tuscan Grille twice and really enjoyed those meals, but of course it costs extra.
