We really enjoyed the cabin.  Brand new, immaculate, well appointed, quiet, larger balcony, comfortable bed, etc...

Stayed at Renaissance Barcelona.  Perfect location and very friendly hotel.  Visited Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, HOHO bus (Red and Blue lines), Las Ramblas, Funicular to beach.  So much to do and such a beautiful city!

Barcelona

Took the 10 minute shuttle bus (5 Euro pp round trip) to the Cathedral and then walked to Segway Palma for our 10:00 am tour (2 hours).  I had booked ahead of time.  This was a fabulous way to see the city, which is beautiful.  Alex, our tour guide, did a great job teaching us how to ride the Segway and then lots about Mallorca.  We'd definitely come back.

Given long days ahead, decided to spend day on ship, which was nice.  More people stayed on than I had expected.

Marseille

Had a fabulous day visiting Cinque Terre.  RC provides a 5 minute shuttle to terminal.  Picked up a Taxi who took us to train station (15 minutes/15 Euro).  Bought train tickets via the ATM (can select English) to Monterosso.  20 minute train ride and then met Diego (Fish and Chill) at the dock.  Spent 4 hours with him on his beautiful boat.  He gave us a tour of Cinque Terre; anchored for a bit so we could swim in the Sea; brought my son and husband to a spot where they could cliff jump (cell phone in pocket was major casualty here; served a lovely Mediterranean lunch; and brought us back to Monterosso.  Purchased return tickets on train around 3:45 pm, which was crowded, but since it was first stop, still had room.  We ended walking back to ship from train station.  Easy 20 minute walk which is down hill and well signed.  Brought us through a fun shopping area, but we were wiped out, so headed straight back to ship.  Such a great day.  Highly recommend Diego and Fish and Chill.

Booked Rome in a Day tour with RomeinLimo.  Couldn't have been better...what a great way to get a taste of Rome.  Alberto picked us up at port and drove us into Rome, sharing info and history about the city and sites.  Went inside Colosseum; saw Roman Forum from Capital; time at the Capital; Pantheon; Trevi fountain; park.  He arranged for quick lunch at a terrific pizza/pasta place right near Vatican City.  We then met Serena our Vatican tour guide, who was also terrific!  He provided a phone so that when we got out and needed to meet back up, we had a way to call him.  What an easy and stress-less way to get a Taste of Rome.  We can't wait to go back!

Another great day!  Fulvio picked us up and brought us to Pompeii (about 30 minutes).  Met Antonio who spent the day with us.  He was incredibly knowledgeable about Pompeii.  Spent about 2 hours there.  Then Fulvio drove us and Antonio to Sorrento.  Beautiful city, but not there long enough to really explore.  The traffic from Pompeii to Sorrento on a Friday at 11:30 am was TERRIBLE!  Took us well over an hour.  We did salvage the day though and had lunch at a nice restaurant at the harbor before getting on 1:20 pm ferry.  I had bought those tickets ahead of time.  Went to Capri and LOVED it there as well.  Antonio could not have been more helpful in helping us navigate the day and sharing his knowledge.  Took 5:10 Ferry back to Naples (50 minutes).  Was back on the ship by 6:15 pm.  Ferry docs at same location as the ship.

(ie not a lot of social interaction in an elevator or at the pool)

-Lots to do on Sports Deck....We ended up in Solarium, which was nice, but lots of folks brought crying kids in there too.
