This was our 5th cruise on NCL, Boston to Bermuda. We live in the city so it doesn't get much more convenient, 20 minutes to the terminal, drop your bags, check in and you're on vacation.

This was last minute, booked 10 days before embarkation. We chose rock bottom pricing, so we didn't get any bonuses, no Unlimited Beverage Package, Specialty Dining, internet, none of that and that was fine. We booked guaranteed mini-suite and ended up with a mid-ship mini-suite so we were happy.

Check-in : Piece of cake, no lines, no waiting. We had to pay corkage fees for some wine we brought, for which we were prepared. Please note we chose to board very late so there were no crowds and our cabin was ready as soon as we got on board.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was located on the port side. There was plenty of space for everything. We've stayed in one of the penthouse suites at the front of the ship before and much preferred this mini-suite to that cabin. The balcony on the penthouse was ridiculously large and we kept tripping over the bench at the foot of the bed. I'd consider a suite again for the amenities but not one of those. For the money the mini-suites are great. Deck 11 is the prefect place to be. Only two cons: The TV was really small and difficult to see. No we weren't watching TV that much but you check your account etc. on it so bigger would have been better. And we were located under the pool deck. The banging of the base during deck parties was evident, but each time I heard it I thought, "I wonder if this is going to keep me awa...ZZZzzzz"
