We had a wonderful time on this cruise. We had a balcony room on the 7th deck. Our room was nice with lots of storage. The room and dining staff were amazing. I live in the Seattle area and am used to seeing beautiful trees and large mountains, but Alaska is like home times 10. Truly a must-visit destination. Food in the dining room was very good (we only ate dinner there), and food on the lido deck was pretty average. Our excursions were very good and saw lots of wildlife. So many whales here.

Given the short cruise and destination we knew there would be families with kids to deal with, but at times, I felt like I was at Disneyland rather than on a cruise. The pool area was packed with kids all times of the day. It was also quite a challenge to find a table anywhere on the lido deck during meal times.

For entertainment, we pretty much stuck with the B.B. King’s Blues Band. They played 2-3 sets every night except one. They were awesome. We also spent some time in the casino, but there were too many smokers to stay for any length of time.

Port Reviews

Seattle

Seattle – We live here and love it. What more can I say? Must-see: Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Garden, EMP Museum, and Pike Place Market.

Glacier Bay

Awesome scenery. Loved it.

Victoria

We didn’t bother getting off the ship given the sort time in port, and the fact that we’ve been there many times. The gardens are really worth seeing.
