After going thru quite the ordeal just to get to our cruise we had a wonderful time. Half Moon Cay was a ton of fun and beautiful. All the activities on board kept us going the entire time we were on board. Matt our cruise director was great and we really enjoyed all the trivia nights. Just June was hilarious. The entire crew was pleasant and made you feel welcome. Nassau was interesting but we made the most of our excursion Discovering Atlantis. We enjoyed each night at dinner and tried as many foods as we could. The Cheers program was well worth the money. The only thing was we tried purchasing the Cheers program before we sailed to get the discount but we were unable to purchase it with carnival gift cards which wasn't disclosed prior to getting the gift cards. We were told we might be able to get the discount once on board if we spoke to guest services. That was a waste of time, we ended up having to pay full price (we took full advantage of this). My birthday fell during this cruise and one night we came to our room and they had a card and some treats left for me, that was a nice surprise. The only surprise we didn't find nice was the additional gratuity placed on our account that we were not expecting. We had all of our finances figured out before we got on board and the extra gratuity dipped into those funds by about $100, that was slightly frustrating. Overall we had a fantastic time and plan on cruising with Carnival again. Debarkation was super easy and we made our noon flight out of Fort Lauderdale in plenty of time.
