We chose this cruise because the embarkation port, dates traveled, and length of cruise fit the schedules of the twenty family members in our group. The embarkation went very smoothly and on first appearances the ship is beautiful. Our balcony cabin was very nice, with ample storage space for the two of us. The bathroom was a good size for a cruise ship.
The problems of being on a mega ship started at dinner. We made reservations for the twenty of us to eat together in the Manhattan dining room for the first and last nights. Even with reservations made weeks in advance, we waited in line. Once seated, two tables of ten side by side perfect, the service was horribly. slow. Each table of ten had a different server, but it still took almost 40 minutes for any food. Drinks were even longer. As an apology we were given several bottles of champagne which we saved for later in the week. On our last night, also in the Manhattan Room, we had two tables of 12 and 8 side by side. Service was good and both tables had the same server.
For the nights in between, several members of our group chose the specialty restaurants. Those of us eating in the complimentary dining rooms (Taste or Savor) usually had a wait of 25 to 40 minutes. There is a bar right between the two dining rooms so we were able to get a drink while we waited. Service was slow every night.
The greatest city in the world, what's there to say?
Bermuda is simply beautiful. This was our fourth visit and I would certainly recommend everyone to see it.
