We have been sailing Carnival since 2008 but left Carnival for two years after having a very bad cruise aboard the Splendor and refusing to ever sail on her again.

The Sunshine is a nice ship. I read a lot about it being crowded but let's face it, what cruise ship isn't? On our return to Carnival we did notice cost saving changes but nothing to write home about. We missed the size of the Stateroom and balcony Carnival offers after having sailed on the Norwegian Breakaway! Freestyle dining is nice but nothing beats the dinner experience aboard a Carnival ship! Fantastic service, good food and entertainment all in one! Carnival hit a home run in offering the free lunch in their specialty restaurants. Guy's Burger Joint was one of my favorite lunch time stops. Being a big fan of burgers and especially those aboard Carnival, these tasted home made and off your BBQ grill! The afternoon tea at 3 pm is fabulous and comes with all the attention you normally get in the dinning room.

I was disappointed in the very small selection, limited supply and size of the Liquor Shop compared to what was offered on other Carnival ships. There was also a shortage of wine and some beers when we left NY (Thanks prior Cruisers!!).

Big, clean and comfortable! Cabin service is always the best! I think that Carnival has the most comfortable beds!
