This was my first cruise with the Carnival Cruise line. I had cruised 3 times before on Royal Caribbean and I can tell you it was a major difference. We were there to celebrate a friends birthday and it was 10 of us. I understood prior that this was an older and smaller ship. However, they didn't have to many entertaining things to do. They only had Bingo for 2 days and one of those days it was scheduled during the late seating dining time. Bingo lasted 30 minutes, if that, because it was only 3 games during the session. During the At Sea day, they could have at least filled up an hour to 90 minutes by playing more than 3 bingo games during a session.

Now, the food. The food was very basic. The portions at dinner were very, very small. The scallop appetizer consisted of 4 scallops the size of a nickel. Cocktail shrimp were tiny. Caesar salads were dry and came on tiny plates. The quality of the food was similar to cafeteria food. Bland and very basic. The quality and quantity of the food were a major bust. It is the biggest disappointment of this entire cruise. However, the dining staff assigned to our table were wonderful. Very friendly and hilarious to boot. They were what made our dining experience tolerable.

The nightly entertainment was very good. The comics were funny. The karaoke host was very good. DJ Rock Steady at Club Kaleidoscope was phenomenal. Going to his nightly set was the highlight for me. He played great music and kept the dance floor packed.
