This was a good cruise on a very large ship. In general, I like smaller ships at least half of the size of the Liberty of the Seas but this ship has its appeal in other ways. The entertainment was varied and excellent. The ice skating, areal, and play productions were excellent as the entertainers were athletic and very skilled in their sessions.
The cabin was a bit smaller than other lines I've been but it worked. A larger sofa would have been nice as only a single soft chair was offered in my interior room. Closet space was adequate and the bathroom was typical for this type of room.
Service on the ship was excellent in the dining room and in the buffet area. Staff were always pleasant and kind, even with their long work days. Kudos to them! Meals were tasty and about average for this type of cruise. Intellectual programs were lacking on this cruise as meatier destination talks would have been desirable.
Just walked around this port
Took a cab downtown and walked that area instead of taking a formal excursion.
Just drove to the port and boarded the ship in Galveston
