Third time cruising, first with our children, last two on Royal Caribbean and Carnival. All in all, the service onboard was very good from dining, to the bars, and room steward. Like many reviews I read beforehand, definitely felt throughout like your getting nickel and dimed so that I put on Norwegian.

Got to the pier just after 11am and the line was already very long so I would tell you that you can't arrive early enough. The preferred check in was so backed up that it seemed like there was barely any staff processing normal check ins. This needs to be improved. Once through this part, we had no problem getting a nice table on the back of the ship and hot lunch and cold drinks were ready to go.

I thought the entertainment was pretty good but if you are not into music/dance, you might not be too excited , although the Second City crew was entertaining, watched them twice. The Ineffable Two show is amazing, not a big Whitney Houston follower but Jade and Sam were also great, Jade is incredibly talented, and the Gem cast of singers and dancers were good as well but got to be more of the same with different costumes over the week. The jazz band at Magnum's is excellent if you like that style of music...my son is a young sax player and we enjoyed the musicians.
