I hate to start out being negative, but I feel I have too..... The only awful thing about this cruise was the first night. We had a BX room, 9166 and about 3:00am on the first night, our neighbor's decided to come back to their room drunk as heck and start yelling and screaming at each other.. I had security come up 3 times to tell them to stop. Didn't work. Then the 4th time I called (they are still yelling, and it's about 4am now), to have security come up to talk to them. I was told there's a medical emergency on board and they will have security come up to talk to them when they can.. That emergency was the 2 individuals who had heart attacks and about 4:15, the US Coast Guard Chopper was outside my balcony room, medevac'ing individuals off the ship, so yes, that trumps my issue. No sleep for me the first night. I was going to be awakened by the helo anyway, and I am so sorry to hear what had happened :-(, but there's no excuse for the way my neighbors were acting. Extremely rude and obnoxious. They were also smoking outside on their balcony, which I also told security and the people from the concierge desk, however, nothing was done about that. The only thing I got from the concierge people was "They were sorry. My husband was drunk." How about something for my troubles? I didn't pay $1,000's of dollars for a vacation with my wife and I to be treated like that and put through a sleepless night. So, NCL didn't do anything for me to right the wrong I was dealt. That rubbed me the wrong way, and so did the "What do you want me to do about it?" comment when I told the concierge rep the next morning what happened. But, it was the only time they were loud, but I could still smell the cigarette smoke from time to time. I guess, as my wife put it, they "Pick their battles" when it comes to their guests.

Embark was very slow, as it took almost 2 hours to get onto the ship from when we first arrived in the terminal at a bit after 11. I guess it is what it is, but maybe hire a few more people to work the desk and not have people take breaks during this process? It is a process to get on the ship, but with anything, it can be made better. Disembark went very smoothly! We brought our luggage off with us (as you can also choose to have them taken off for you) and getting off the ship, thru customs took maybe 30 to 40 mins from when they initiated disembarking procedures.

My cabin was 9166, a Guaranteed Balcony, and for two adults, it had plenty of room! I am 6'3" about 230, and the shower was huge!!! The toilet area, well, it's a bit smaller, but I was able to take care of business without any issues. The bed was extremely comfortable and the balcony was large. The TV did its job when you wanted to relax. But, they do have too many news channels, not much of a variety, but you're on a cruise, why sit in your room and watch TV?? Also, from 6am to 10:30, you can get coffee and complimentary bfast delivered to your room for free, or a $7.95 charge if you want a bit more than the complimentary items they offer. Very convenient, and there's nothing like sippin' coffee out to sea, out on your balcony :-)
