We loved our Viking cruise down the Danube the year prior. We have always wanted to see Prague and Paris so the City of Lights cruise from Bamberg to Trier was wonderful as expected. Viking surely has the right formula for accommodating everyone onboard. The onboard entertainment is excellent. The crew is always on their A game and very friendly. For us, it is the right number of travelers on a ship. Everything is well orchestrated when disembarking on tours so that no group is too large. The few days pre and post cruise in Prague and Paris rounded out the vacation.

Our only disappointment was the bus ride from Prague to Bamberg and then from Luxembourg City to Paris. While very comfortable Viking busses, the rides are too long and uneventful and cannot compare to our time on the ship. In the future, we will choose more wisely where there is only sailing involved.

We will definitely try one of the Viking Ocean cruises and I am sure another river cruise.
