Our family loved this cruise! It wasn't our first cruise but it was our first on Carnival. We thought the food was great, we loved the main dining room food and our wait staff. Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana were awesome too! My daughters loved the Guy's Burgers, and the 24 hrs pizza and ice cream. I have a 13 and 16 year old and they both loved the teen clubs and made many friends. The entertainment staff was great, we loved the comedy the most. The best thing was the ports on the Eastern Caribbean route. We went to Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. Carnival's new port Amber Cove was awesome! Just a fun day relaxing at the pool. Love how open and uncrowded it was (nice change from the ship's pools). We had the Cheers package and all the drinks were fantastic. We thought it was good value. The boat is in really good shape, everything was like new (just came out of drydock). We had FTTF and the embarkation and debarkation were so easy, we skipped all the lines. Definitely will do Carnival again and will by FTTF everytime!

Our room was fine, but it was right over deck 5 where all the action was. You could hear the live music playing below us. Luckily they stopped at midnight and I only went to bed before midnight twice. If you are one to go to bed early, I would not stay on deck 6. Only other complaint was our shower water pressure was very low, shower was smaller than we remembered on our previous NCL and Disney Cruises. Would still cruise Carnival again though, I just would choose a balcony on deck 7.

Port Reviews

San Juan

Walked around on our own. You don't need an excursion. Loved the city and the forts and history.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Awesome port to swim and hang out and shop. No excursion needed.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Great place to cruise from.
