One of the positive things about Carnival is their cabins. Being veteran cruisers with other lines, such as Royal Caribbean and NCL, Carnival cabins are the best IMO. We had cabin 4173, balcony, starboard side. The cabin was very nice, roomy and had lots of storage. It was a bit noisy however as we were mid ship with the lobby below us and we could hear the singer until late night. That wouldn't have been much of an issue had their been something to do on the ship, had we been out at a lounge dancing etc. For the first time, after 40+ cruises, I was actually BORED.

Decor: The ship's decor was nice, but at times we kind of felt like we were in the Haunted Mansion at Disney. They have these very strange candelabra all over the ship, exactly like the ones you see in the Haunted Mansion at the end of the hall. If you have been to Disney, you will get my drift. It was kind of strange, some parts of the decor were really classy, very nice, but this over-all feeling. Not too sure of it.

Entertainment: Carnival needs to do something to get back into the "FUN SHIP" spirit. The entertainment in the evening was absolutely awful! The shows are not worth going to, Vrrroom, the production show, was worse than a high school recital. It was not the dancers, they can only dance the show they are given, but the choreography was lame, costumes drab and other than a bit of laser effects in the show, the sets were non-existent. The other show was the completely over done, "Legends" This show consists of the winners of the Karaoke evenings who are judged by the Karaoke audiences and then become part of this show. Carnival, PLEASE CHANGE THIS!!! At least, if you are going to have a show featuring the audience, have a talent show. I have seen 3 Sinatra's, Spears, Ricky Martins, etc. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! This show is old, and needs to go away. As far as bands to dance to, nothing there either. The band was bored, and looked like they would rather be anywhere than on the ship. Perhaps a root canal? That is the way it seemed.

Cabin Review

Cabin D

Large balcony cabin. Lots of storage, comfy beds. A little noisy, 4173 is one floor up from the lobby bar and there is entertainment in the bar late at night.
