Just returned from the Adriatic Sea cruise to Venice, Croatia, Rome, Livorno all in Italy, then Toulon, France and Barcelona. We were in Aqua Level, 11th floor and well worth the price of going Aqua.

We took the water bus to Burano (from Venice). Well worth the trip to this lace making island. Colorful homes, laid back environment, small island and not crowded. Venice is unique with all the canals, we did not take a tour but walked, and walked some more. In Dubrovnik, we took the bus (thru Celebrity) to the old city and walked the wall around the old city. Also did shopping in the old city (filigree jewelry is their speciality). In Rome, we took the Eternal City tour. Great tour with super tour guide. Rosa works at the Vatican so she was able to give us lots of information during our Vatican tour. Did not go into the Colosseum but walked around it which was enough for me. Mega people waiting in line to get in to the Colosseum. In Livorno, we elected to take the train to Florence thru Celebrity. Florence was beautiful, crowded like all the stops we had made, except Burano. The guide that took us on the train showed us the town square (the Duomo) and then we were on our own. In Toulon, we took a walking tour to Aix-en-Provence. Guide was very good and we had an hour on our own. This was a leisurely tour as the town isn't that large. When we arrived in Barcelona we took an extra day on our own to discover the city. We took the hop on hop off bus and saw the city. For sure you have to stop at the Sagarda Familia (what a wonder). Hop on hop off bus is a great way to see the city because you can get off and look around and then get back on.

We rate the cruise 5 star, from the ship itself to the tour options. Food in BLU restaurant was excellent, along with the waiter and assistant. Entertainment in the main theatre each night was very good. In any trip one takes, you find some negatives, such as waiting for the bus to get back to the ship in high heat, no A/C in one train car but that happens wherever one goes. Staff on ship was excellent. Would recommend this trip to anyone.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class Balcony

Our cabin was very nice. Loved the balcony. We got FOX News, CNN and ESPN on the TV so we could stay caught up on news with what was happening in the US. Also TV provided channels of ship activities and map of where were sailing.

Shower was interesting (several different water spouts to rinse certain areas of your body:) Wish I had one of these showers at home!

Port Reviews

Toulon

We went to Aix-en-Provence on walking tour. Guide was good and had an hour on our own. Very good tour and the town wasn't extremely crowded.
