This year's family vacation was an Alaskan cruise. This was my 3rd NCL cruise. The other 2 were to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Alaskan cruise things to know:

1) Relax! The Alaskan cruise has a very different vibe than a Caribbean cruise. While there are fun things to do on the ship, it is not the party atmosphere in the Caribbean. When you go on deck in the morning to look at the scenery it is extremely quiet and people are whispering. At night you do not have the parties going until 2AM every night either. It took me a while to understand this and accept relaxing. They still had the White Hot party but it was way smaller than on a Caribbean ship.

Inside

Cabin ID

Super clean and efficient. I loved it. We went with a lower inside since it was my family's first cruise. Lots of storage and everything.

Port Reviews

Seattle

I live in Seattle. It rocks!

Glacier Bay

It cool to see, but overall it is treated as a day at sea.

Ketchikan

This port is kind of boring. Not much to do there other than a little shopping and a couple of mediocre restaurants.

Victoria

This is a beautiful place. Go to Red Fish Blue Fish and get some fish and chips. It was fun walking around the town.
