Booked directly with Carnival next time I think I will use a travel agent. Two adults and two children under 10. This ship is targeted at the family market.
Sailed July 2016 check in was relatively easy on line which saved time at terminal. Arrived just prior to allocated check in time. Once we were in the terminal it took approximately half an hour until we were on the ship. Weather was really good and the seas were calm with the exception of two nights.
The ship has a mish mosh of decor but you quickly get used to it and the ship is easy to navigate. We had two balcony staterooms which were ready when we arrived.
We had two balcony staterooms. Good location forward starboard close to front lifts. They were clean and were cleaned well daily throughout our cruise. The bathroom was a good size and shower was hot. Water pressure could be better. Housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.
We swam here didnt see any fish when snorkelling. Local trinkets were expensive
Pretty island despite being uninhabited. Local people from adjoining islands come across when ships anchor and set up traditional markets. Local people are very friendly and offer a good range of souveniers at very reasonable prices. Snorkelling was good kids saw lots of fish and the water colour and temperature was very inviting. Great day
Pretty island you can sight see, visit the resort on the island or just do your own thing. The beach/bay on the back side of the island was great for swimming and snorkelling. Some of the locals not so friendly.
We used hop on, hop off, bus service $20 for adults and visited the morning markets, aquarium and museum. The kids really enjoyed the aquarium and took some great pictures. The museum was small but had some good displays including traditional native hut and other cultural items. The museum doesnt accept credit cards and only Pacific Franc for entry fee. Word of warning McDonalds was close to museum and kids decided they needed lunch. $48AUS later for two Happy Meals an extra drink and 2 Sundaes.
