Traveled with children

My husband and I have cruised several times with Princess and loved every cruise. This time we were accompanied by 3 of our adult children and their spouses and children. We were a group of 10- six adults and 4 children-1-16 years of age. This was a perfect way to celebrate- from my view of things- because I didn't have to cook or clean up!!

I NEVER complain about things when I am fortunate enough to have the health, the money and the time to travel- I see each and every trip as an adventure. This one proved to be just that. From the Canopy Adventure in P.V., Stone Island in Mazatlan, and the glass bottom boat tour in Cabo- we all enjoyed ourselves. On board the ship we enjoyed meals together and the shows. The 3 year old enjoyed the children's center as did the teens the teen center.(There were 668 children on board because of spring break.)

I wanted to share an experience we had on this cruise that we have not had before. Because we were celebrating our anniversary- I wanted to surprise everyone with a renewal ceremony that Princess offers. I somehow managed to keep it secret from everyone( I did tell the husband!)and it came off beautifully. I was able to include my older granddaughters in the ceremony which made it very special. I was given a beautiful bouquet and my husband a boutonniere for the ceremony, champagne and engraved glassed were delivered to the stateroom beforehand and I was shown the chapel the day before. The cruise line picked the time and it ended up on formal night so I didn't have to strongarm anyone into getting dressed up! Captain Anthony Herriott performed the ceremony and was a very friendly, warm man that made it feel like we were "family". When we were finished- he stayed to exchange pleasantries and posed for picture with all of us. It was a wonderful experience and I am so happy we did it. I've told people about it and have heard from almost everyone- I've always wanted to do that!! Don't wait- if you are cruising for that special anniversary- do the renewal!! We went right from the chapel to our formal dinner reservation which was perfect- it felt like a real celebration!!

Cabin Review

We had a mini-suite and there was plenty of room for our cabin to be "party central".Everyone really enjoyed the balcony and I LOVED having the large bathtub!
