I have cruised on Carnival and NCL prior to RCCL and I a not impressed with RCCL at all. I traveled with my husband (30's) and my two kids (age 6 and 4) and my mother (age 52)

1. Embarkation in Seattle was organized but it was like a cattle herd and took very long about 4 hours from the airport into the ship. Once we got on the ship the only place to get food was the cafe promenade which had an extremely long line for pizza and the only place to get food. There was no welcoming party with lots of food or anything.

2. I stayed in cabin 7628 the steward was friendly but my room was not very clean. The common areas of the ship were clean (but I agree with the previous post about the smell of puke on certain stairways) and the smell of urine in my room was so strong it never went away. There was black hairs on the carpet when we got to our room I asked our steward to vacuum and put cleaner in the toilet but the urine smell never went away and I had a much more attentive steward on Carnival. Also the whole promenade smelled like cigarette smoke because it comes up from the stairs of the Casino.
